There are four parts to this assignment, two due in Unit 1, two in Unit 2. Here are the two items due in this first unit:

1) After reading chapter 1 in Technical Communication, address exercise 2 on p. 16 in a memo of 250-400 words. You might refer to Chapter 14 in our Tech Comm text for more on memo format, or you may use a carefully chosen template from MS Office, online, or elsewhere. Save the final draft of the memo either as an MS Word document or in Rich-Text Format (RTF).

2) After reading chapter 2 in Technical Communication, compose a two-page memo of 300-450 words in response to exercise 2 on p. 40. Here, too, see Chapter 14 in the text or use a professional-caliber template. Save the final draft of the memo either as an MS Word document or in Rich-Text Format (RTF).
